At present, the content is delivered on-demand stream in MPEG-2, which is supposedly better quality than those available on the client. In the future, there is also the possibility of adding content to mix HD, which ultimately make a convincing addition to Virgin services!
BBC says that more than 350 hours of the last seven days is available via the iPlayer, which may be difficult called stingy. Like TV offers available, the BBC also plans to add radio streams to Virgin Media in due time.
Virgin Media's iPlayer access adds to the already available Wii and iPod Touch and iPhone versions of the , in addition to the promised Mac and PS3 clients.
