Not only did Asus do a great job in quickly upgrading its “old” tablets to Android 4.0 and releasing new gadgets with the latest software on board, but the Taiwanese company is also spoiling its users with very regular maintenance updates.
The latest minor update is currently being rolled out to the Transformer Pad 300 and will modify the tablet’s build number to version 9.4.3.30. You can tell that the update is not significant by comparing the new build number to the old one (9.4.3.29), but then again, the improvements and bug fixes could be very noticeable for some users.
Improved camera performance, more colorful pictures, improved stability of Chrome browser are just a few of the update’s changelog mentions and, according to some initial feedback, you can actually see the difference between photos taken with the tablet before and after the update.
A couple of bugs have themselves been fixed, with the most important one previously preventing users to automatically connect to Wi-Fi after resuming from standby. You won’t have to worry about tapping in your password after changing screen orientation either, as that bug has itself been fixed.
The actual updating process shouldn’t take you more than a couple of minutes and, if you haven’t yet gotten a prompt message to install the new software package, you should go to your tablet’s settings menu, click on “about”, then on “system firmware update” and then press “check update”.
If you happen to notice some suspicious bugs or unwanted changes to your Transformer Pad 300 after performing the update, let us know about these in the comments section below. Otherwise, enjoy the latest improvements and tweaks and tell us if they are noticeable for you!
