A working ICS firmware for the two tablets is now available to download and install – thanks to mattlgrof from XDA-developers, who has found the leaked files. To be more specific, the leaked files will work on the Wi-Fi model of Droid Xyboard 8.2 and Xyboard 10.1, as well as the LTE model of the Droid Xyboard 8.2 and 10.1. So basically the whole Xyboard family is invited to the unofficial ICS party!
Understandably, there’s always some risk when you flash unofficial ROMs to your tablets. So please make sure you read the instructions carefully. If you do decide to give it a go, the necessary files and full guide can be found there.
As for those who want to wait it out, the leaked ICS ROMs for the Xyboard 8.2 and 10.1 are a good indicator that the real thing will be released soon.
