Troubleshooting

There are reported cases of owners’ smartphones getting into recovery each time they turn it on. If this happens to you, just follow the directions below.  Only perform the instructions below in case your smartphone displays the said behavior.
  1. Download the following files to your PC:
    1. AriesVE.zip (225 B)
    2. Boot_loader.tar (1.6 MB)
    3. Odin v4.43.exe (447 kB)
  2. Extract the AriesVE.ops file from inside AriesVE.zip.
  3. Turn off your phone.
  4. Boot your Galaxy S Plus into Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Up, Home, and Power keys together until you see a yellow Android icon displayed on the screen.
  5. Launch Odin by double-clicking the Odin v4.43.exe file.
  6. In Odin, click on the OPS button and select the AriesVE.ops file.
  7. Click the BOOT button and choose the Boot_loader.tar file.
  8. Connect your phone to your computer. You will know when Odin recognizes your phone if you see an “Added” message in the lower left message box in the Odin window.
    • If your phone is not recognized, there is something wrong with the installation of the drivers. Disconnect your phone from the computer and re-install your device drivers.
  9. Click the Start button in Odin to flash the firmware on your phone. Wait for the process to finish.
  10. Once the flashing is done you will get a PASS message with a green background in the upper leftmost box of the Odin window, indicating that you can disconnect your device from your computer.
  11. However, if you get a FAIL message or Odin gets stuck, disconnect the Galaxy S Plus from your computer, close Odin, remove and re-insert the battery of your Galaxy S Plus, then start over from step 4.
You can now use TWRP Recovery to flash ROMs and scripts and perform other smartphone tasks requiring recovery.
