New Maps. Apple simply wants to make its maps as accurate as possible, that’s why there have been a lot of addition to the previous version of its Maps app. It now features turn-by-turn navigation and a spectacular new Flyover view feature Apple’s own cartography designs. The new map has become as interactive, informational and real as it can get making it the most accurate mobile map today.
New Siri Features. The Siri app has become more informative than the previous version. This time, Siri can recommend restaurants and movies, or can easily access sports scores. Aside from that, there have been more languages added to its database–Spanish, Italian, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese. You can tell Siri to post on Twitter or even launch an app. In short, Apple wanted Siri to become as intelligent as possible to make it even more useful.
Facebook Integration. Again, I would want to reiterate that Apple wants to make its social presence as strong as possible that’s why the new iOS (6) was given a feature allowing owners to post directly from Notification Center, Siri and other Facebook-enabled apps like Maps, Photos and Safari. Just like other mobile OS developers, Apple find social media an essential part for the success of its devices. With this feature, you can actually tell Siri to post updates on your Facebook account.
Again, there aver over 200 new features and Apple stuffed in its new mobile OS, if we were to put the details of each one of them, it’s like we are writing the manual of the OS. These three I’ve mentioned here however, are the most popular features that iOS device owners would want to know about. But make no mistake, iOS 6 has a lot more than just giving out an accurate location on the map, execute using voice commands or share everything with the new Facebook integration. Security is also one of the most improved feature in this version and it seems like jailbreakers and hackers may need some time to be able to find the flaws.
