Facebook Phone Concept Photo Leaked Online: Features 4.2″ Display,8 MP Camera

There is a few photos circulating over the web showing the concept or prototype unit of the alleged Facebook phone. The news about the this devices started a couple of years back and it was then that Mark Zuckerberg’s company teamed up with HTC to build a smartphone that will become the next big thing in the Android world. However, there have been so many codenames revealed  but nothing has become a reality. But just a few days back, the photo prototype emerged showing a neatly tailored, HTC-inspired phone bearing Facebook’s login page on load.

There have also been a lot of rumors regarding Facebook’s desperate ways to build up the hype of its upcoming device. Among those are the information we received that Zuckerberg’s company allegedly hired an ex-Apple employee who is helping in designing the phone. But basically, no information was released by Facebook yet. Thus, this leaves us wondering where the photos came from. The answer to that is Michal Bonikowski, an outside designer.

Actually, the photo that’s been roaming around the web is his rendition of what he believes the appearance of the actual phone. Therefore, what you might be seeing right now is a fruit of his imagination and nothing more. In other words, it is simply his mock-up of the still unknown phone. Bonikowski believes the Facebook phone will come with 4.2 inches display, an 8-megapixel primary camera and 5MP rear-facing, a Facebook-labeled docking station. This is not the first time we see concept photos of the rumored Facebook phone as HTC shared to the public its proposed designs. Many didn’t like how HTC presented it on paper so bad feedback could have turned it down. In fairness to the artistic abilities of Bonikowski, his rendition looks way better than HTC’s. The phone really looks cooler to the eyes being minimalist. The color choice is just appropriate and the docking station is just perfect.
I would like to reiterate that the photo you are seeing in this post is a personal rendition of an artist who don’t even work for either HTC or Facebook. However, if this is the kind of phone that the company would spend its money for, then many people especially Facebook bums would surely appreciate having to use such cool device with cool designs. Of course, you have to include the main purpose–being able to update status on FB.
Anyway, there are no further information about the rumored Facebook phone whom others refer to as “Buffy.” The price couldn’t be determined yet because fairly enough, there is no information as to the manufacturing of the device. No release date has also been given because there is a possibility that both Facebook and HTC are actually on the process of putting their suggestions together to be able to come up with a perfect idea on what to produce.
