Gchat – a Google Talk client that only supports Google Talk has been released for the Windows Phone operating system and right now it is available in Marketplace for download. Before the availability this app, some other chat clients are already available for the Windows Phone users and one of them is IM+, which is also compatible with the Gtalk service, but unfortunately we are missing some important features of the Gtalk service in that software.
Therefore, if you want to avail full features of the Gtalk service on your Windows Mango Phone, go ahead and give it a try. The Gchat has featuring Metro style that is very hot nowadays on the internet as it will be a basic ingredient of the upcoming operating system of the Microsoft that is Windows 8. Another cool feature of the Google Talk client is push notifications for messages that will allow the Gchat to alert the user by making a sound and pop-up on the screen whenever some message or alert received. First time this feature was introduced in the iOS 3.0.
Gchat for the Windows Phone also allows the users to pin any contact as a secondary tile on their home screen, which gives independent message notifications from those contacts. “Off-the-record conversations, with special and delicate handling” is also available in Gchat.
Windows Phone compatible Gchat app is very simple to use because of its smooth interface that allows the users to chat with their contacts in a true friendly manner. The other good thing about Gchat is its fast speed, but sometimes this app throws a “server connection” exception, we’ve no clue that whether the problem arises because of some Gchat bug or Google server is causing the problem.
Overall this app looks pretty clean with some nice features that users will love to go through on their Windows Phone handsets and the top of it Gchat is absolutely free, which is a big concern for me.
