Korean manufacturer Samsung, on the other hand, said that it will prove and demonstrate in court that its newest flagship is distinctive and innovative in all aspects and that it’s not infringing any patents that Apple claimed. The US major operators have already accepted pre-orders and have set up promotions for the release of the one of the most popular devices this year. According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S3 will start shipping on June 21st and it will be offered at a premium price considering it bears high hardware specs and stuffed with tons of new features.
Samsung Galaxy S3 will sport Samsung’s very own Exynos 4 Quad processor (an equivalent to Nvidia Tegra 3 with 4 cores) putting the device on a higher level in the high-end smart phone market. It will compete with HTC One X and other high-end smartphones released by different major manufacturers including Apple’s iPhone. In fact, it is posing a great threat to the soon-to-be-released iPhone 5 as Galaxy S3 has already reached new heights as far as sales are concerned. Apparently, prior to the release of iPhone 5, Apple is vying to get Galaxy S3 off the way but it can do nothing in stopping the release of the device in the US.
Among the things that Apple claimed Samsung has violated is the S-Voice. iOS devices were the ones to use voice commands through Siri. When SGS3 was unveiled, Samsung also announced that S-Voice will be available allowing users to execute commands or write emails hands-free. Basically, Apple is not only vying to impose ban for Galaxy S3 in the US, The Wall Street Journal reported that both companies are currently tangled in about 30 patent litigation suits in 10 different countries. It may be long battle for these smartphone giants but hopeful owners of the device are ready to put their hands on such a powerful, innovative and high-tech handset.
Samsung Galaxy S3 also features face recognition and supports near-field communication (NFC). It also comes with Samsung’s AMOLED display technology giving the device better and more vivid picture quality. Apparently, it will become yet another successful device from the Korean company and it could be the key to leading the smartphone market, Apple is making sure that wouldn’t happen.
