CZC Tech U116T Hybrid Ultrabook Tablet Features Ivy Bridge CPU, Windows OS

CZC Tech U116T Hybrid tablet is about to come to the market and compete with other devices that fall under the same category. But the question is, what category does this device falls? Some say it is a tablet, still some say it’s actually an Ultrabook. While we love combining things and calling them hybrid, looking into the very purpose of the device would actually give us a hint what the device is all about. In this case, CZC Tech’s newest entry to the tech market could really be considered as an Ultrabook and not simply as a tablet.
CZC Tech U116T
If you are familiar with Asus Transformer Prime, you could say that this device follows the same concept; it has a detachable keyboard in which in its absence the device becomes a tablet. However, in the case of Transformer, it operates on the obvious mobile platform which is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. CZC Tech U116T, on the other hand, comes bundled with Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS or even Windows 8. Clearly, this device seeks to be a versatile laptop computer that could be used as a fully-functional tablet. But let’s try to look a little deeper into the inside of this computer and see what it has in store for us.
Processor. While we have received reports that CZC Tech U116T will sport the latest Ivy Bridge processor, there is no information as to the specific model or chipset. But I have a feeling it will sport just the Core i3 3225, a dual-core CPU with maximum clockspeed of 3.4 GHz as we’ve known that the CPU has an integrated HD 4000 graphics processor. While this is just smart guess, it has a greater possibility of being true. CZC Tech U116T is a computer with all the hardware stuffed behind the screen and considering Core i5 and Core i7 needs more ventilation, there is no way they can be stuffed in a pad alongside the RAM, HDD and display panel that are also accumulating heat. So, even if the company plans on using these powerful processors, it is forced to go for the one that has lower tendency of overheating. Therefore, Core i3 is a perfect choice for me.
RAM & Display. The powerful Ivy Bridge processor will be paired by 4GB of RAM to ensure the operations are smoother and faster than expected. Also, to optimize the performance of the CPU, there is a necessity to use the 64-bit Windows 7 or 8 OS and that’s the reason why CZC Tech put 4GB RAM. As far as display is concerned, this tablet sports 13.3 inches display featuring considerably high resolution at 1366 x 768 pixels. Intel’s integrated HD 4000 graphics also makes thing a little clearer as far as the picture or display is concerned. One more thing, the screen is also capable of reading your fingerprint so, it might be cool to use biometric locking system in this.
Storage. While it only has 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage capacities which is typical of any tablets available in the market today, I would still stick to my opinion that this device is actually a computer. If it were a tablet, there’s no way the manufacturer would put in 120GB of solid state disk (SSD) which is often used for system files and the operating system.
Aside from these specs, CZC Tech U116T also comes with 1 USB 2.0 port and 1 USB 3.0 port. A microSD slot, SIM card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and Ethernet port are also available to maximize connectivity. There is no information on the released date as well as on the pricing of this device but these things are expected to come in the next few weeks.
