Zeki, a brand of DPI Inc, has just announced two of its latest tablets that will be available in the market very soon. These tablets will be the first attempt of the company to capture a market share in the ever increasing tablet market. But will they really hit it with these two new tablets that they are offering? We will find out in the coming months after the release of the devices.
Zeki will offer a 7-inch tablet, the Zeki TB782B, and the 10-inch variant, the TB1082B, though the names of both devices are not that quite appealing, the hardware and price of these devices are somehow enticing. To start with, the Zeki TB782B has a 7-inch TFT LCD display screen with a native resolution of 800 x 480p and supports a wide range of gestures like touch, swipe, and pinch zoom. It will be powered by a single-core 1 GHz processor that will be complemented with 1 GB of installed RAM. This allows the device to run all those process extensive apps effortlessly.
In addition, the device will be running the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich release, the Android 4.0.3, which offers rich, better user experience. It features a front-facing VGA camera for users that requires online conferences or simply for skype or other apps. The Zeki TB782 has 8 GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 32 GB via its microSD slot. It also features a mini HDMI port and has a 2800 mAh battery that offers 3 hours of battery life. The down side of this device is that it does not have access to the Google Play Store, instead it relies on the Amazon App, GetJar app store, and Soc.io App Mall for mobile downloads. This 7-inch device will be available in the market for $139.99 or roughly Rs. 7780.
On the other hand, the Zeki TB1082B has a 10-inch Full color touch LCD display and is also powered by a 1 GHz processor with 1 GB or RAM. Similar to the 7-inch version, the TB1082B also has 8GB of storage which can be expanded and it also offers the same connectivity options. The device even offers a Wi-Fi tether function that allows the device to share its internet connectivity to other devices such as laptops, cellphones, and any other devices. This 10-inch variant has a price tag of $199.99 or around Rs. 11,100.
