Good news for the people who have been waiting for it as it has already been released in Europe starting today for an approximate price of $733.33. German customers and tech lovers would be the first ones to enjoy the full potential of what could be LG’s most powerful handset ever released. After a Germany release, the countries of Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom and Italy will be able to receive it, then Asia, CIS, South and Central America. Expectedly, this Android smartphone would be received by Android lovers, tech enthusiasts or anyone who wishes to have a powerful device. So, let’s try to look into its very core and see what LG has in store for us that it wants to share through LG Optimus 4X HD.
Hardware. First, I would like to mention that this is LG’s first ever quad-core handset so it is actually getting a lot of support from the company compared to those it has released bearing lower specs. That said, you can expect that there would be 1GB RAM and at least 16GB of internal memory with microSD card support. It also sports ULP GeForce graphics processor supporting its True HD-IPS LCD capacitive 4.7 inches touchscreen featuring 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. Aside from that, LG adorned this device with a really powerful battery with 2140 mAh that might be able to provide power of up to 12 hours. LG Optimus 4X HD also has an 8-megapixel camera that would give you 3264 x 2448 pixels maximum photo width and able to record full HD 1080p@30fps.
Software. A device as powerful as Optimus 4X HD, there is no doubt the manufacturer would want to give it the latest Android version thus confirmed by LG that it will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it surely a future-proof device; it means that it may be able to operate on the next version of Android Google is planning to release. If HTC has its Sense UI (user interface), LG also has its Optimus UI which is now on version 3.0. So, aside from the stylist interface of the stock Android 4.0 ICS, owners of this device are given opportunity to enjoy better and sleeker appearance.
LG Optimus 4X HD is one of the favorite smartphones during the Mobile World Congress this year  that Tom’s Hardware, a global publication specializing in consumer electronics, selected it as one of the most innovative products. Based on the its specs and LG’s reputation when it comes to smartphones, this device would surely perform well in the market it is trying to target. That said, this device would obviously compete with HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3.
