Dell Latitude 10 Tablet Specs Leaked, Features Windows 8 OS

A photo of the specs sheet of the rumored Dell Latitude 10 tablet has recently been leaked online revealing what Dell has in store for its faithful and loyal patrons. We’ve already heard rumors and read a few reports about this slate in March but since there were no substantial evidence that Dell actually started building this tablet, we let the rumors rest until now. The fact that the specs sheet is shown and shared is enough for us to believe the company is going to release this device. Dell hasn’t recently released an entry to either smartphone or tablet market. Thus, it is safe to assume or believe that the company wants to have its brand resounded in the world of technology and Dell Latitude 10 tablet could just be the perfect device for such purpose.
Dell Latitude 10 Tablet
As always Dell is targeting the enterprise and home market by using a Windows platform for this slate. According to the sheet, Dell Latitude 10 tablet will be operating on the soon to be released Windows 8 operating system that would literally make a tablet works like any laptop or desktop computers. It has to be noted that Microsoft is targeting a different market away from Android and iOS and now we know that Dell would be there to make Windows dominate in a niche where Apple and Google failed to go.
While we know Windows operating system for mobile devices does not really require high hardware specifications but Dell doesn’t want to go cheap on this. A dual-core processor using Intel Clover Tail Atom chipset will be used for this device and we can always count on the fact that it would surely offer the same smooth and fast user experience as with the iOS and Android devices with the same specs. Since it will be operating on Windows 8 (could be Microsoft’s best Windows version) we can expect Latitude 10 tablet to be more interactive than any other tablets available in the market today.
What’s more amazing is that it will sport 2GB of DDR2 RAM which is too much for a tablet to use. To date, there is no tablet that has this much RAM that I know of. For sure, tech enthusiasts would feast over this device when it’s released. Speaking of which, there is no information or even a time frame as to when the release date would be. But since Dell has made a single step in revealing this device to the public, we could speculate that it would be released in the third quarter. Perhaps, before Microsoft would release Windows 8 to the public. There have been reports that some manufacturers would be releasing their tablets running on Windows 8 before the official release of the OS and Dell Latitude 10 could be just one of those.
There is also no information as to the price of this tablet but we know it’s in the mid-level market. Judging based on the specs, this tablet could provide satisfaction to its owners. We know what Windows 8 can do and we can expect the full functionality of the system on this device. For more information about the specs, please refer to the photo of the specs sheet above.
