If you enjoyed playing scrabble as a kid, you will love this game. The 3D magic Words is an addictive new app in which you conjure up words with thousands of combinations from six letters. This 3D game, updated on 30^th July 2011, is one that can keep you hooked for hours with its magical 3D interface, addictive music and challenging modes and levels. You can play the game in two modes; the standard mode where you must achieve the designated percentage of words from the letters, and the speed mode in which you must achieve the set percentage before the time runs out. This game is simple enough for a seven year old and engaging enough for 30 year old adults as well.

Features:

The 3D design showcases a magical show with a magic hat, a magic wand and six golden boxes, each including one letter. You are expected to conjure a word from the letters and then tap the hat with the magic wand. The 3D graphics portraying a magic show add something unique and fun to the otherwise common word game. Each level sets a percentage of letters that you must form, since failure to do so will result in you losing the game. In a similar way, the speed mode requires that you achieve the set percentage in time, leaving enough time for the next set of letters as well.
The game allows you to publish your top scores on Facebook and the leader board in case you wish to compare them.

Ease of use:

The game in itself is simple enough with instructions available on how to play etc. However, there is no pause button as such and the game does not allow multitasking. If you need to leave the game to even read a message, you can come back and continue the game but it would still begin from the start of that level. The game also spontaneously closes down without warning at higher levels. The game is better fitted for phones with large screens as it includes a lot of objects on the stage.

Verdict:

3D Magic Words is an addictive and fun game which not only provides hours of entertainment but also brushes your vocabulary. Some odd features need to be fixed like in the speed mode, if you achieve your percentage in 45 seconds, you are sometimes unrealistically expected to complete the next stage in 15 seconds. Also, the game requires a pause button and some improvement by the developers to ensure the game doesn’t crash spontaneously.
