The EVO View 4G is a 7 inch tablet that has inherited all the strong points of HTC products. The tablet has a beautiful design and a sleek charcoal and red look. It has an above average interface and many new widgets and better animations. The hardware of the tablet is solid, with an aluminum body. The EVO View 4G, released on 24^th June 2011, cannot compete with the tablet leaders the present, like the Galaxy S and iPad, but its versatility makes it a good device to buy.

The EVO View 4G has a sleek look that sets it apart. The covering of the device is made out of aluminum so it is solid and reliable. The back has slopes on each side which helps you carry the device very easily in landscape mode. The micro SD slot under the back cover is red in color and adds a nice touch to the phone. Unlike most tablets, the EVO View 4G has three buttons on the device rather than in the screen. The three buttons helps you navigate through the device, taking you directly to Menu, Home or Back. On the right side of the tablet is the volume controller. The bottom has the USB port with a power button on the top of the tablet.
The tablet has the latest user interface called the sense 3.0. It offers more widgets and larger display space with improved animation. Users can also buy the Scribe pen designed by HTC which helps you write notes and draw on the tablet. The media player in the tablet has two panes which helps you browse through the videos or the music but also play them on the right panel.

The tablet scores very good points when it comes to aesthetics. The tablet is also solid due to its aluminum covering. The camera quality is good and the battery can stand 2 days of frequent usage. The biggest thing lacking in the HTC tablet is the fact that it does not run Google‘s software which has been optimized for tablets like this one. Overall, the EVO View 4G might find it hard to attract Apple and Samsung customers until it comes out with a honeycomb update.
