All of the companies that were activated in the laptops’ area – and here I’m referring to Acer and Asus – proposed in 2011 a tablet boasting the Android 3.0 HoneyComb operating system and the Tegra 2 processor. As a result, it’s no wonder that now Lenovo’s turn has come as they are preparing the launch of a tablet that will hit stores in August 2011.

To mark this occasion, they came up with the idea to release the hardware specs of their new tablet. Excellent idea, don’t you think? There aren’t many details to distinguish it from the competition and I would say that they have copied the Asus recipe used with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. And here I’m talking about the keyboard that is also featured by the Lenovo tablet. Let’s have a closer look at the specs of Lenovo’s latest gadget!
The IPS screen sports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. You should be happy to find out that the tablet features the Android HoneyComb operating system, specially designed for tablets, and incorporates the dual-core Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1 GHz. The Lenovo tablet has the physical buttons at the bottom but I, personally, do not see the point of them and as a result find them pretty useless because the HoneyComb interface has this type of control directly from the touchscreen display. Other features of the tablet include two cameras: the main camera is 5 megapixels and the 2-megapixel camera is used for video calls. Like the Flyer HTC, the Lenovo tablet also brings a stylus.
There are three options when it comes to the storage space: 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. As for the price and 3G, there are versions with 3G and the acquisition cost starts at $ 499.What is your opinion on Lenovo’s tablet?
