Motorola Droid X2 From Verizon Wireless
Features
Although not a GSM device, the Motorola Droid X2 is a feature rich smartphone that is a serious contender while choosing your next Android powered smartphone. The performance for Android 2.2.2 (Froyo) has been significantly boosted with the introduction of the Dual Core Cortex processor; the graphics capabilities have also gotten a big boost with the introduction of Nvidia’s ULP (Ultra Low Power) Geforce. These two power horses combine together and with the 512 MB Ram provide a smooth and crisp experience. There’s a new image gallery that makes it easier to navigate through your image libraries, it also includes your Facebook albums. The MotoBlur is here again with some improvements and changes. Double Press on the Home button will pull up the zoomed out view of your home screens. Each home screen sports four buttons for Dialer, Camera, Messaging and Applications. Shortcuts for recently used and downloaded applications, Android Market and Application Organizer are available through the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Verdict
The Motorola Droid X2 comes with the much needed processor upgrade to a Dual Core to compete with the other smartphones in the same price range. It also has had its display upgraded to a qHD screen. The smartphone maintains the good voice call quality and for the hardware and capabilities it has good battery up time. The Droid X2, however, falls behind some of the competition by not including 4G support, a front facing camera for video calls. It is a bit bulkier than its competitors which might also be something that potential customers may be put off with. The Motorola custom UI for Android is not the most user-friendly or pleasing to use. There are some definite plus points and negative points to consider when looking at the Motorola Droid X2 as an option.
Price
The Motorola Droid X2 is available in stores and online from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a two year contract. Data through Verizon Wireless will cost $20 per month with a maximum of 2GB per month limit and each additional MB will cost you 5 cents.
